We aim to make sure that the collections and services of the Cromarty Courthouse Museum are accessible to as wide an audience as possible.

However, please note that our A-Listed 18th century building has steps, a steep staircase and narrow corridors. This means that access is restrictive for people with mobility issues.

We have recently installed audio soundscapes at various places in the museum to give visitors a richer experience of life in an 18th century courthouse and jail. There are QR codes on the walls next to the site of the soundscapes which link to both text summaries of the audio content for people with hearing issues. Full public transcripts are also available online, print versions are available on the museum shop.
