A big thank you to everyone who joined us on Friday 29th September for chat, drinks and refreshments – all 70 of you!

On display were recent acquisitions from the West Church, Roman coins found in the area by metal detectorists and which were granted to us from Treasure Trove – yes Romans were in the north of Scotland. There was plenty to eat, drink and lots of chat. We were very happy to celebrate a really successful year, visitor numbers, shop sales and donations where all better than we have seen for many years.

It was lovely to see so many old and new friends in the Courthouse. It was a great opportunity to catch up and (we hope) encourage you not to be strangers to our wee museum.

The only sad part of the evening was saying goodbye to two long serving Trustees, Mary Bowers (chair) and Brenda Monk (treasurer) – but we were able to do it in style with presentations and lots of love and appreciation.
