Name/TitleEdward VII, farthing (1909) (pierced)

About this objectFathing, minted 1909. On the obverse (heads), it depicts Edward VII (1841-1910), King of the United Kingdom, British Dominion and Emperor of India from 1901-1910. It also includes the abbreviated Latin phrase: EDWARDVS VII DEI GRA: BRITT: OMN: REX FID: DEF: IND: IMP:" which translates to "Edward the Seventh by the Grace of God, King of all the Britons, Defender of the Faith, Emperor of India". On the reverse (tails) side it includes the Text"FARTHING" and below an image of Britannia, the personification of Britain. Below that is the date 1909. There is also a pierced which suggests it was possibly an ornament or a piece of jewelry.
