About this objectLong Cross penny, minted between 1251-1272. On the obverse (heads), it depicts Henry III (1207-1272), King of England, Lord of Ireland and Duke of Aquitaine (1216-1272) wearing the crown and with a sceptre. Around him is the Latin "HENRICUS REX III", translating to "King Henry the Third". On the reverse (tailside), it has a long cross pommée with pellet in the middle. Around it says in abbrivated Latin "HEN RI O N LV NDE", meaning "Henri of London".
