About this objectHalfgroat, minted between 1371-1390. On the obverse (heads), it depicts King Robert II wearing a crown and scepter (1316-1390), the King of Scots (1371-1390). Around the image has the Latin "ROBERTVS DEI GRA REX SCOTTORV", translated as "Robert, by the grace of God, King of Scots". On the reverse (tails) side, it depicts a cross in the middle with stars in each quarter. Around the cross, there is the apprivated Latin "DNS PROTECTOR MEVS: VILLA ED PERTH" which translates to "God is my Defender: Town of Perth".
