Name/TitleJoseph I, 10 reis (?1751-65)

About this object10 Reis, minted between 1751-1765. On the obverse (heads), shows the crowned arms of Portugal and around it, in abbreviated Latin it says "JOSEPHUS I DEI GRATIA" which translates to "Joseph I, by the grace of God". King José I (1714-1777), King of Portugal (1750-1777). On the reverse (tails), it has a "X" in the middle, ten in Roman numerals and below the date of mintage. Around the "X" is a wreath and around that is the abbrivated Latin phrase "PORTUGALLAE ET ALGARBIORUM REX" which translates to "King of Portugal and Algrave".
