About this objectThree halfpennies, minted between 1770-1775 (uncertain). On the obverse (heads), it depicts a laureate and cuirassed bust King George III (1738-1820), King of Great Britian and Ireland (1760-1820). Around the portrait is the abbreviated Latin "GEORGIVS III REX" which translates to "King George III". On the reverse (tails), is Britannia, the personification of Britain. Around the image is the Text"BRITANNIA" with the date of mintage below Britannia.
