Name/TitlePenny (1921)

About this objectBritish penny minted in 1921. On the obverse, (heads) it depicts George V (1865-1936), King of the United Kingdom, British Dominion and Emperor of India from 1910-1936. It also includes the abbreviated Latin phrase: "GEORGVIS V DEI GRA: BRITT: OMN: REX FID: DEF: IND: IMP:" which translates to "George V by the Grace of God, King of all the Britons, Defender of the Faith, Emperor of India". On the reverse (tails) side it includes "ONE PENNY" and the date minted "1921", it also includes Britannia, the national personification of Britain.
