Soundscapes In the Museum
June 21, 2021

The Cromarty Courthouse continues to make history. In readiness for the opening of the museum this summer, a group of locals (some with family connections going back generations) recorded the voices for two trials, the prisoner in his cell and the literary ramblings of Sir Thomas Urquhart.

Due to Covid restrictions, all rehearsals were conducted online with recording taking place in Inverness over two weekends in early May in time for the Courthouse re-opening on Saturday 29th May. Congratulations to the cast for their contributions. Come and meet our Courthouse characters, hear some stories from Cromarty’s past and witness some tough Highland justice. You might even pick up some useful local insults!
