Cromarty Open Gardens 24th and 25th June 2023

Visit the Courthouse garden as part of this weekend’s Cromarty Open Gardens event. We have been maintaining our garden to be environmentally friendly for a number of years – establishing wildflowers, keeping areas of grass unmown, not using pesticides and hosting a community orchard. Recently a children’s gardening group have built a bug hotel in the grounds. All of this will benefit pollinators. We compost our green and brown waste, have installed swift boxes (see if you can spot them!) and are assisting with a moth recording project.

You will discover the “Beelines” art trail weaving its way around the walled garden – don’t forget to pickup a handout to see what it all means. This year we will also have a bee information point to include children’s activities and we are selling local honey in our shop!
