Christmas with the Cromarty History Society: A Tale of Two Shopkeepers (and their families)

The 5th December is International Volunteer Day, a very good day to stop and say a massive THANK YOU to all our Volunteers.

Cromarty History Society presents: Maps and Mapmaking in the 18th Century, a transition in surveying, maps and map-making in Scotland.

Thank you to everyone who came and was scared… had fun… and did the scaring!

This talk will interrogate the autobiographical sources left by Rev. James Fraser (1634-1709) of Kirkhill, a Gaelic-speaking scholar, traveller and minister.

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and innovative person for a new post of Museum Manager / Curator, to support and drive forward the objectives of the museum.
